  • {Gravity II} {Utsusemi: San} Auto translator!!

OK, I know how to auto-translate some spells fully you have to have seen their scroll or seen someone else type them.

Anyway, I was cruising around Port Jeuno AH area (waiting for the damn airship, 12 mins =\) and all of a sudden I see {Utsusemi: San}. Then I wait a bit and see {Gravity II}. I know these scrolls are programmed in (/recast "Utsusemi: San") but...how did someone get it in auto-translate!? Now I can for a while, but only cuz I saw it. How did someone manage to pull it up!?

If a mob you fight uses one of those spells you can put it in the auto-translate from what I hear.

I talked to someone who got them up. He said he did the /recast "spell" trick, then it appeared in auto-translate. However, I can't do it, and he can't repeat it either...

theres a mob in Promyvion that casts blink version with insane amount of shadows, we called it Utsusemi: Fu when we saw it
            maybe its Utsusemi: San

Auto-Translator is a very wierd system. There's tons of possible ways to get an item or spell to show on it, but not all of them ever stick. I've had a case before were my Item and Spell list in Auto-Translate was completly empty.

From the Auto-Translator end with those two lists it seems they only go into the list if the object for that item is called on. The only other exception is for some reason it seems like the Japanese version of the game is able to write in translations and it'll for a short period populate other player's auto-translator.

I don't know how exactly that things works on displaying its lists but one thing for sure is that the auto-translator list is constantly changing. My list use to have all of the Easter Egg translations for "A" Egg to "Z" Egg. Then somedays it'll only have "A" Egg and "E" Egg with none of the others, or any random amount of Eggs in-between.

So I kind of suspect that the {Utsusemi:San} and {Gravity II} Auto-Translations don't futher confirm those spells/ninjitsu of coming out any futher then /recast does.

I for the most part understand it, you'll always see the last 200 items and spells and whatnot you have seen and possibly scrolled over in your translator list by hitting Tab, then hit up to go to the "Items" menu, and well.. there you are. you can hit Pg Up and Dn to scroll through quickly.

So if you want to ask for a certain item or something just look for it in the AH or wherever (vendor, bazaar, etc.) and it should be in your "Item" translator list. Not sure how often it refreshes itself though....

I thought the Tonberry in Uggalepih used Utsusumi: San. Could just be someone fooling around with the file that stores those things too.
